yeah my friend was right that documentary did a really good job of highlighting all the great things about the mlp fandom and that’s great ]]

but it doesn’t change the hyper-sexualization, objectification, sexism, misogyny, racism, and bullying that does go on that makes me hate this fandom so so very much

I was so hesitant to watch this because bronies are freaking bane in my opinion. Every time I try to get someone - anyone - to watch the show I swear to god ’…I don’t want to be a brony tho.’ And I know, that can ALL be centered around feminism which I can scream about fOREVER

I’ve had teeeeerrible experiences with bronies, many of which include legitimate harassment in my Pinkie Pie cosplay, not to mention being ridiculed and compared to the disgusting nature that consumes a great deal of the fandom. I know john was kidding, but seriously though clopping I just euuughhhhh whyyyy people can do what they want, and I recognize that and I would never ever call anyone out (unless it was really bad [coughcoughMolestiacough]), which is why I won’t be tagging this in any way.

not to mention the rampant white washing of all the character’s human designs so much so that my friend Kira was hesitant to start a Rarity cosplay because she thought people would call her out because she was black. ‘Rarity is whiiiiite-’ MOTHERFUCKER ITS A HORSE

I’ve met a few decent ones! They’re cool and nice and not too weird but ugh compare that to everything else? I don’t mean to sound apathetic but

and ohmygod if anyone tries to give me the “”“"we’re not aaaaalll like tha-”“”“”“” I will literally- think very violent thoughts about harming you but not act on them because [GLaDOS voice] luckily I’m a bigger person than that. Most of the time anyway. (I did nearly punch a dude for calling me 'toots’ today

anyway it is 12:44 am and I need to go to bed
